Obituary for Edgardo G. Ocampo Edgardo G. Ocampo, 63, of Davenport passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale, Florida. He was born on December 9, 1954 in Oroquieta City, Philippines to Crispin T. Egoc, Sr. and Adelaida S. (Guingguing) Egoc. Edgardo attended the University of San Carlos and received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1978.

He moved to Davenport in 2013 from Miramar, Florida and was employed by Watson Laboratories as a Quality Assurance Inspector. Edgardo loved watching movies, listening to music from the 60’s thru the 90’s, playing guitar and singing karaoke. He enjoyed fixing cars and watching all kinds of sports like football and basketball with his daughter April.

He always cheered for his daughter’s favorite teams, the UCF Knights and the Jacksonville Jaguars, and for his personal favorites like the Miami Heat and Chicago Bulls. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing basketball in the Philippines. Edgardo loved his wife dearly, and was a true romantic in serenading her.

He was known as a kind, loving, friendly man, who will be missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his father Crispin T. Egoc, Sr; sister Gloria; and his wife of 27 years, Ana Yañez (Obenza) Ocampo. Edgardo is survived by his mother, Adelaida (Guingguing) Egoc; son, Edgar Ray Ocampo of Davenport, FL; daughter, April Ann Ocampo also of Davenport, FL; brothers, Mario, Crispin Jr. and Rolando; sisters, Thelma, Sonsaida, Ofelia, Marisa, Crisalda, and many close friends.

A gathering of friends will be held on Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until the memorial service at 2:00 p.m., all at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City with Deacon Jose Ramos of St. Ann Catholic Church officiating.
