Obituary for Margaret “Peggy” Scrivner Margaret “Peggy” Scrivner, of Haines City, FL passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at the age of 101. She was born on April 17, 1917 in Muncy, Pennsylvania to Lester and Kathryn (Hamilton) Sedam. Peggy had been living in Fresno, California prior to moving to Haines City, Florida, where she lived for 20 years.

She worked as a school teacher for 14 years in Baltimore, Maryland and was a member of the Landmark Baptist Church in Haines City, FL. Peggy was a faithful servant of the Lord who would always talk about Jesus and pray. She loved reading the bible, cooking, shopping and gardening.

Peggy enjoyed joining her neighbors for dinner. Her interest included Landmark Baptist Church tithes and offerings, Senior Patriots, Village Bible Study, March for Life, every October on Hwy. 27, Concerned Women of America, Prison Fellowship, Family Research Council and Child Evangelism Fellowship as well as being politically active and a very constitutional Conservation Republican.

She will be truly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Lester Scrivner; brother, James Hamilton Sedam; step sons, Donald Scrivner, Richard Scrivner and Edward Scrivner and his wife, Andrea. Peggy is survived by her nephews, Pastor Lester Sedam and wife, Sandy of Westerly, RI and James “Jimmy” Sedam and wife, Sandra of North Plainfield, NJ; nieces, Sandy Izer and husband, Robert of Milton, PA, Christine “Chris” Geren and husband Jay of Alexandria, VA, Kathy Pidgeon and husband, Robert of Granby, CT and Margaret “Margie” Sedam; cousin, Janet Roberts of Redlands, CA; stepsons, Raymond Scrivner and wife, Cathy of Fresno, CA, step daughters-in-law, Judy Scrivner of Fresno, CA, Clara Scrivner of Fresno, CA; adopted daughter, Barbara and husband, Earle E. Lee of Haines City, FL; and caregiver Felixmena Stoddard.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 11:00 . m. at Landmark Baptist Church in Haines City, Florida with Dr. Mickey Carter and Pastor Lester Sedam officiating.
