Obituary for Howard W. Lewis Howard W. Lewis, 97, of Tobyhanna passed on Thursday Nov. 29, 2018. Born in Fairfax, Virginia he was the son to the late Fauntleroy and Hattie (Jesuph) Lewis.

Howard had resided in Tobyhanna for the past three years, and prior to that in Baltimore Maryland. In his earlier years Howard lived in New York where he worked for the New York City Transit Authority as a transit driver. Howard served the US Army during WW11 Howard is survived by his children; Carol Lewis, Howard Lewis, Jr., Veronica Lewis, and Linda Childress.

He is also survived by grandchildren; Ralph, Lanyell, Teri, Jonathan, Christine, Jennifer, Jimila, and Jasmin, along with great grandchildren; Jalone Jr., Jay-ln, Keana, Jahsiah, Niam, Misia, Lashawn, Qutin, Isaiah, and Amira. Also surviving are 6 brothers and 1 sister. In addition to his parents Howard is preceded in death by his wives Mary E. Lewis and Ella Lewis.

There will be a viewing held Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 10-11AM, with services following at 11AM at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc. 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360. Interment will following at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, PA. www.
