OBITUARY Ida Ruth Whitford November 2, 1934 – January 9, 2019 New Bern Ida Ruth Whitford 84, of New Bern died January 9, 2019. She is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Grover Lanis Whitford; Parents, Leslie and Clara McLawhorn. She was a member of Broad Street Christian Church and worked with BB&T from 1973- 1991.

She loved her lunches with the RODEO girls. Surviving is her son, Gregory Whitford of New Bern; daughter, Lenise Kilborn of Oriental; grandchildren Amber Alvarado (Macario) of Sandy Ridge, Joshua Bonner (Stephanie) of Oriental; great grandchildren, Emelia Alvardo, Roman Alvarado, Aubrey Ann Bonner. A Funeral service will be held Sunday, January 13, 2019 3:00pm at Cotten Funeral Home.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Greenleaf Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Broad Street Christian Church.
