OBITUARY Irene Dodge October 19, 1935 – October 27, 2018 Portland – Irene E. (LaChance) Dodge, 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 27, 2018. Irene was born on October 19, 1935 in Lille, ME, the daughter of Joseph and Annie LaChance. Irene and her six siblings moved to the Portland area when she was five years old, attending Portland Schools, graduating from Cathedral High School in 1952.

After Irene graduated from high school, she went on to marry the love of her life Clyde Dodge on December 10, 1955 at St. Patrick’s Church in Portland. Irene was deeply loved by her large family and found them to be her greatest pleasure and treasure in life. In addition to her family, she enjoyed time with her close friends, playing mahjong as well as her beautiful flower garden she and Clyde created in their backyard and painting “Thomas Kinkade” like paintings.

Irene is survived by and will be deeply missed by her husband of 63 years, Clyde Dodge; their children, Stephen and Diane Dodge of St. Augustine, FL, Selena (Dodge) Conley and her husband Michael of Portland, ME, Robert and June Dodge of Hollis, ME, Mike and Donna Dodge of Alabaster, AL, and Mark and Marian Dodge of Ft. Myers, FL; 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on November 6, 2018 at 11am at St. Pius X Catholic Church 492 Ocean Ave.
