She is survived by her family, her world, daughters Rose Angus, Stephanie Angus-Prieto and husband Adrian Prieto, Charlene Angus, Melanie Barela and husband Fabian Barela, Melvin Angus; grandchildren Lee, Jessica, Rosa, Felice, Zeanna, Olivia, Adriana, Samantha, Adrian, Luke and Jason; her first great grandchild Bentley; brother Charlie Lovato; sister Bessie Lujan and many nieces and nephews and Godchildren who all believed they were her favorite. Irene received a call from God and knowing her work here was done, she answered and left to begin her journey in paradise.

Irene had unconditional love for everyone lucky enough to cross her path. She had words of wisdom, inspiration, encouragement and comfort for anyone who needed it. When you were in her presence, you felt like you were a good person, because that’s how she saw you.

She was our Matriarch, our Queen, our Fearless Leader, our Fierce Protector, our Biggest Fan and our most Honest Critic. Irene was our shoulder to cry on and the lap to rest our heads on when the world felt mean and cruel, when we felt we had nothing more to give. She was our Glue, our Rock and our World.

If you were lucky enough to have crossed paths with her, your life is better for it. For those of us lucky enough to have spent our entire lives with her, the Blessings are immeasurable and the loss is unimaginable.
