Rodriguez passed away Sunday, March 10, 2019 after a losing battle with cancer, at the age of 67. He was born on July 25, 1951 in Pine, New Mexico and lived most of his life in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Jesse graduated in 1969 from Albuquerque High School and went into the Army after graduation to Honorably serve his country.

He was stationed in Vietnam and was a member of American Legion Post 72. Jesse worked the majority of his adult life as a sheet metal worker at EG&G, where he made many friends. Jesse will be remembered as an outgoing, kind, and loving man who loved and touched the lives of all his family and friends.

He will be missed by us all. He loved life and lived his life to the fullest. Jesse won many trophies and tournaments playing pool and horseshoes.

As well, he enjoyed the outdoors and spent many summers fishing in both New Mexico and Colorado. A yearly hunting trip with the guys was always a part of his fall and winter activities. He also enjoyed bowling and attended many festivities and gatherings with the family.

One of the highlights of his life was a trip to Alaska where he fished for salmon and enjoyed breathtaking scenery and time in its many campgrounds. He enjoyed watching all sports on TV and was a loyal fan of the Cleveland Browns, the San Francisco 49ers and the UNM Lobos. Jesse was preceded in death by his father, Marcos Rodriguez; mother, Regina Gonzales; brothers, Mike and Ray; his sisters, Socorro, Adelina, Dolores and Eufemia.

He is survived by sisters, Julia Chavez, Trinnie Sedillo, Gloria Quintana, Martha Trujillo and husband Joe, Isabel Gomez and husband Pat, and Mona and husband Albert. He is also survived by an extended family made up of many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. Family and friends will gather for a Celebration of Life Ceremony and Us Army Honors, which is pending and will be announced.

He has been cremated and interment of his ashes will take place in the spring time in lower Colonias.
