A lifelong resident of Albuquerque, Ruben will be remembered for his love of cooking, eating, taking walks, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

Ruben is survived by his girlfriend, Maria Talamantes; two children, Katherine Chavez and Ruben Garcia; three grandchildren; brothers, sisters; other family members and friends who loved him. Services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Rd. NW.

, on Thursday, March 7, 2019. The Rosary will be recited at 8:00 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00am.
