Laughlin Jaynes went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 4, 2019. Betty retired from USF&G Insurance Company after 21 years, where she worked as Secretary in the IE&A Department, and later worked as the Computer Coordinator for the company. Betty was active in her local church, Northdale Baptist Church.

She proudly served in and supported the Child Evangelism Fellowship, Christian Women’s Club, and the Auxiliary of The Gideons International. Betty also helped coordinate banquets for Wycliffe Associates involved in Bible translation. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Daniel H. Jaynes and by her son Joseph D. Jaynes.

She is survived by her son, James L. Jaynes and wife Sharon of Los Lunas; her daughter, Mary A. Jaynes of Albuquerque; her brother, Bob Laughlin and wife Barbara of Austin, Texas; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren as well as other family members and friends who loved and will miss her. A Memorial Service will be held at Northdale Baptist Church, 123 Osuna Rd. NW.

, on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 2:00 pm. with Pastor Mike Hay officiating. Betty will be interred with her late husband, in Thorndale, Texas at a later date.
