He passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday, May 3, 2019. He will be fondly remembered as a loving, caring husband, a gentle, loving man who was loved by everyone and always had a smile on his face.

Santos loved fishing, traveling, yard work, visiting Old Ghost Towns in New Mexico and spending time with his treasured family. As well, he was a longtime Diesel Mechanic, employed by Albuquerque Asphalt Company, a job he thoroughly enjoyed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Abundio and Maria Tobar.

Santos is survived by his beloved wife of 24 years, Adella Tobar of the family home in Albuquerque; five sons, Anthony and wife Meagan of Amarillo, TX. , Robert and wife Nilka of Albuquerque, Santos Jr. and wife Sherri of Panama City, FL. , Jose and wife Danielle of Kansas City, MO, Mark and wife Chelea of Umbarger, TX.

; three brothers, Justo and wife Carmen, Martin and wife Hope, Lucio and wife Cheryl; five sisters, Severa, Sabina and husband Lalo, Mary Ann, Ramona and husband Larry, Molly and husband Oney; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; as well as many other family members and friends who loved and will miss him greatly. Services are pending and will be announced.
