He went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, in Grants, New Mexico, at the age of 87. J.B. was the last survivor of ten children, and a lifetime farmer and rancher who loved the cowboy life.

He will be fondly remembered as a character; a social butterfly who loved to tell stories and pull pranks. As well, J.B. was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan who loved his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Beatrice and by nine siblings, Pearl, JT, Marvin, Pete, Claude, Jewell, Louise, Ray and Jimmy.

J.B. is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Pat, of the family home in Grants; children, Johnny Eagle of Silver Lake, Kansas, Weldon Eagle of Carrizo Springs, Texas, Marilyn Wratislaw and husband Paul of Wasilla, Alaska, Pam Eagle of Grants and Twila Eagle of Grants; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; as well as many other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. Services will be held at Grace Baptist Church, 717 Aspen Ave. Milan, NM.

On Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 10:00 am, with Pastor Dale Thatcher officiating. Interment will follow at Grants Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Paul Mondragon, Shane Hanna, Bo Eagle, Mike Hawkins, Glenn Eagle and Joe Olguin.
