On Tuesday, November 27, 2018 the life of Olga “Iris” Lopez was tragically cut short at the age of 36. Iris was born on June 25, 1982 to Marino and Norma Estrella of Milford, CT, formerly of Stamford, CT. She was the third of their four children.

Iris was always a vibrant soul. She was truly loved by all who knew her because of her gentle, caring nature and her witty charm. She wore her beautiful smile daily, no matter her circumstances, and she loved to sing and dance.

She didn’t share her voice with many people, but those who heard it will tell you that it was something special, just like her mother’s. But her greatest joy came from her children. Iris had 4 children of her own and a stepchild, but to her, there was no distinction; they were all the of her light and she loved them with her whole heart and soul.

Though her life ended well before it’s time, we can find comfort in her very name. I recently learned that the iris flower can be a symbol of faith, hope, courage, wisdom and admiration. Our sister Iris will be greatly missed.

We hope to learn from her experiences, to find strength as we face the pain of her untimely demise and will forever admire the pureness of her heart. Iris is predeceased by her father, Marino “Pepe” Estrella. She is survived by her children Richie Ojeda, Cory Lopez, Hector Lopez, Iris Lopez, and Kadayjah Lopez, her mother Norma Estrella, her brother Lincoln Estrella and sisters Irene Serrano and Rosie Estrella, as well as her grandmothers, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and countless cousins.

Services will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018, between 1:00-5:00PM at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902.
