Irvin Blackwell, 85, of Lyndhurst, passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018 at his home. He was born April 7, 1933 in Virginia to the late Brown Blackwell and Lavalette Blackwell Marino. Irvin retied from General Motors and was in the US Army.

He was an avid Hunter, Horseback rider and four wheeler. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Jane F. Blackwell; daughter, Donna Thompson and a brother, Bruce Blackwell. He is survived by his sons, Ross Blackwell and his wife, Shellie and Irvin Blackwell, Jr.; grandchildren, Tioni, Danielle, Zack, Morgan, Tesla; great grandchildren and numerous other loving family members.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm with military rites at 3:00pm at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Drive, Fishersville, VA 22939. Services will be private.
