Obituary for Irving J. Lundell Mr. Irving J. Lundell, age 91, went to be with his Lord on Monday, July 9, 2018. Born on April 20, 1927, to Gunnar J. and Helen (Nykvist) Lundell, Irv lived all of his life in the Muskegon area. He worked as a pharmacist for 54 years for Parke-Davis and at Watkins Pharmacy and was a member of the West Michigan Pharmacy and the State Pharmacists associations.

He was a member of Calvin Christian Reformed Church and a long-time member of the former East Muskegon Christian Reformed Church. He served on Council at both churches, participated in the breakfast prayer group, served as a Cadet Counselor and president of the Calvinist Cadet Corps, and volunteered as a Sunday School teacher. He was a WWII Air Force veteran.

Irv enjoyed painting and woodcarving and often sketched on anything that was available. On September 14, 1951, he married Donna J. VanderMey. She preceded him in death on December 10, 2003.

Also preceding him in death were brothers Bob and Jim Lundell and their wives. Irv is survived by four children: Kristi (Lon) Vredeveld, Mark (Ellen) Lundell, Julie (Don) DeBoer, John (Karen) Lundell, 10 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren with another on the way. A service to celebrate Irv’s life will be held Saturday, July 14, at 2:00 PM at Calvin Christian Reformed Church, 973 W. Norton Avenue.
