Isaac Thomas Nunez Ii , April 21, 1972 — September 10, 2018

Isaac Thomas Nunez II, age 46, was received into Heaven on September 10, 2018. He was born on April 21, 1972, in San Jose CA. Isaac was raised in Porterville, attending many local schools.

Upon graduating from Monache High School in 1990, he began dating the love of his life, Casey. After earning his Bachelor of Arts at Point Loma Nazarene College in 1994, he married Casey on July 29, 1995. Six years later they welcomed their first born Macy.

Within four years Atticus completed the family. He loved God and his family with an intense faith. He received Christ as his Savior at about nine years old.

In every decision, God directed his every step. He believed in His purpose and destiny for his life. He began educating students in Arvin in 1994.

In 1997, he joined the Porterville Unified School District along with his wife. He taught at John J. Doyle Elementary, was a vice principal at Green Acres Middle School in Visalia and Bartlett Middle School, the principal of Pioneer Middle School , Vandalia Elementary School, and Olive Street Elementary, and Director at the District Office. Isaac put students first.

He had a vision to get each staff member to be their best by further developing their strengths, introducing them to innovative teaching, and assisting them in areas of need. He loved serving the communities of his home town. His love of God gave him the ability to make personal connections with those he taught and worked with.

Education was his ministry. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Casey Nunez, two children, Macy and Atticus; his parents, Isaac and Juanita Nunez of Porterville; two brothers, Johnny Dorame of Porterville, and David Nunez of San Jose; three sisters, Cindy Hernandez of Modesto, Virginia Rojas of Modesto, and Lisa Nunez of San Jose; in-laws Larry and Purvy Sams of Bakersfield, two brothers in-law, Landon Sams and wife ,Jill, of Colorado and Jared Sams and wife, Stacia, of Colarado; many nieces, including Celina Dorame of Canada, Zoe, Piper, Hallie, Ellerie, Avery, and Adalyn Sams of Colorado, Nephews, including Tony Mendez of Lindsay, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and great nephewsAzael ramirez, Carlos Lopez and a great niece Maykayla Mendez. Funeral Service will be at 4:00 pm Monday,September 17, 2018 at Porterville Church of the Nazarene.
