Obituary for Ivan Earl Blazek Ivan Blazek, 93, of Flower Mound, Texas died Friday, December 28, 2018 at the Vista Ridge Care Center in Lewisville, Texas. Ivan was born December 8, 1925 in rural Adams County, Iowa to Earl and Abby (Day) Blazek. He attended school in Shannon City, Iowa and graduated from High School there.

He married Eleanor Gofinch on December 10, 1950; she died December 24, 2010 in Glendale, Arizona. They made their home in Creston, Iowa for many years; he was self-employed in Creston, Iowa as a carpenter and contractor for many years before returning to Herberger Construction Company of Indianola, Iowa as a project superintendent, retiring in 1990. They then moved to Glendale, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Eleanor, three sisters, and one brother. He is survived by a son, Steven (Mrs. Lorene) Blazek of Denton, Texas; a daughter Cathy (Mr. Don) Lehmann of Flower Mound, Texas, 5 grandchildren, Mrs. Traci Riley of Denver, Colorado, Mrs. Magan Lindsay of Gulfport, Mississippi, Mrs. Keri Zubriski of Ontario, Canada, Joshua Blazek of Boyce, Louisiana, and Christina Blazek of Galena, Kansas; three step grandchildren, Heather Turner of Lincolnton, North Carolina, Amber Lehmann of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Nadine Melancon of Lafayette, Louisiana; six great-grandchildren and a sister Shirley (Mr. Logan) Dickey of Pekin, Illinois. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 1401 Cross Timbers Road, Flower Mound, Texas.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time. Upcoming Events Memorial Service JAN 3.
