Iver Lauf, July 11, 1930 — May 10, 2019

Iver’s Obituary Iver M. Lauf born July 11, 1930 passed away into his heavenly home on May 10, 2019 at Prospera on Sunset Dr. in Mandan, ND. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday May 14th at Faith Center Church of God of Prophecy, 2303 East Divide Avenue, Bismarck. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Iver was a resident at Prospera for the last three years of which he received very loving care from all on Unit 4 that waited on him. All his caregivers loved him very much. Iver was raised NE of Hazen, ND on a farm.

He was the son of Robert and Lea Lauf. After leaving home, Iver’s love for farming continued when he purchased his own farm, where he and his first wife, Loraine (Wolf) raised their son, Darnell. Loraine passed away in 1982.

In 1984 Iver married Naomi Yelton from Cleveland, TN. In 1988 Iver retired from farming and in 1989 he and Naomi moved to Bismarck. After settling into city life Iver was employed at Rolling Hills Day Care for approximately 20 years, as the janitor and grounds keeper.

He loved the children there of which some of them called him grandpa. After his years at the day care he was employed part time at Dan’s Supermarket of which he enjoyed very much. Later in life Iver volunteered many hours at his church, Faith Center Church of God of Prophecy.

He was a faithful and well-loved member. Iver and his wife, Naomi enjoyed many travels together. He was blessed to have Naomi faithfully by his side until his passing.

He is survived by his loving wife, Naomi; his son, Darnell (Lisa); his grandson, Joshua (Tiffanee); granddaughter, Jessica Nystuen; his seven great grandchildren; his brothers, Emil, Elmer (Lucille) and his sister, Delora Kellar. He was preceded in death by his parents; and first wife, Loraine.
