Obituary for J C Childers Sr. J C Childers Sr., 85, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018. J C Childers was born to Thomas “T C” and Ella Childers in February, 1933 in Brady, Texas. J C went to school in Brady Texas and was working as a leather worker in Temple Texas when he joined the Army.

J C was a Korean War Veteran serving as a Cpl. and received a Metal of Honor during his service there. After the war, J C returned to Texas and was blessed with 3 beautiful children from his first marriage.

J C married Roberta Pursley in Austin, TX in the early 1970’s. J C worked in the paint trade most of his life before retiring and spending his retirement with his children. J C is survived by his son, J C “Rusty” Childers Jr. from Liberty Hill, TX and his daughter, Burchelle Ellis and Sterling Carlson of Blanket, TX.

Three grandchildren, Frank Cromeans of Burnet, TX, Erin Mason of Cleburne and Innis Mason, of Canada. And 3 great grandchildren. There will be a graveside service at 12:00 PM, Friday, September 21, 2018 in Killeen Texas at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
