Alvie Jack Caudill was born on January 27, 1945 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to William Robert and Elnora (Lucas) Caudill. He married Josie Burditt on March 21, 1960 in Holdenville, Oklahoma. The Caudills moved to Brown County in 1963.

Jack worked for the Brownwood Fire Department for 32 years as a firefighter. For many years, Jack operated a fruit and vegetable stand in front of his house on the Zephyr highway. He was a member of the Zephyr Baptist Church.

Jack is survived by his wife of 59 years, Josie of Zephyr; a son, Jackie Caudill and wife Mary, a daughter, Kathy Lynn Caudill; ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and a sister, Janie Camp. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Danny Caudill and Michael Lee Caudill, a daughter, Rebecca Caudill, five brothers and two sisters. Jack passed from this life on Monday, March 25, 2019 in an Abilene hospital.
