John “Jack” C. Conway, 81, passed away February 1, 2019 at Homewood Healthcare in Lebanon, Indiana. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 4, 1937, a son of the late Reginald and Mary Dorothy (Bliss) Conway. Jack graduated from high school in Michigan.

Following school he served his county honorably in the United States Navy from 1957 to 1959. On July 9, 1960 he was married to Carol A. (Janni) Conway; she survives. He retired after 36 years from United Airlines as a lead storekeeper out of the O’Hare Airport.

Jack and his wife moved to Lebanon in 1997. He was a member of Knights of Columbus and St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, which enjoyed helping every year with the fish fry. Jack also was a member of the Indy Racers: a United Airline Retirees Group, and Lebanon Eagles.

He was devoted to his family and loved all the special times they had together. Survivors: Wife: Carol Conway-Lebanon, Indiana One Daughter: Lynne (William) Curnow -Livonia, Michigan Three Sons: Michael (Kirsten) Conway-Martinsville, Indiana Timothy (Janet) Conway-Hampshire, Illinois Joseph P. (Kathy) Conway-Marengo, Illinois Ten Grandchildren: Tim Curnow, Sara Nakamura Elizabeth Curnow John Curnow, David Conway, Joshua Conway, Kelly Conway, Kyle Conway, Sara Christensen, Jack Conway Three Great Grandchildren: Stella Nakamura, William Curnow, Remington Curnow Brother: William Conway-Cicero, Indiana Sister-In-Law: Patricia Conway-West Palm Beach, Florida Several Nieces and Nephews In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Conway and sister-in-law, Marlene Conway. Funeral Mass is planned for 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 319 East South Street, in Lebanon, Indiana, with Father Richard Weisenberger officiating.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 9 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your choice of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 319 East South Street, Lebanon, Indiana 46052 or Gibault Children’s Services, 6401 South US Hwy 41, Terre Haute, Indiana 47802. Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory has been entrusted with his cremation arrangements following services.
