Jack E. Krebs, 93, of Wapakoneta passed away Thursday January 17, 2019, at Otterbein of Cridersville, Ohio. He was born April 17, 1925, in Swissvale, PA, to Rolla and Jane (Harris) Krebs and grew up in Cleveland Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Marilyn Parker, in 2010 and, by a brother, Rodger.

After serving in the U.S Navy, Jack received his Master Degree in Education from OSU and taught for many years in the Wapakoneta School system in the industrial arts department and occupational work experience program. During his teaching career he served as Athletic Director, Faculty Manager and was a member of the school board. His passion was working in his flower beds, reading, traveling, and carpentry projects.

He was scout master for the BSA while his sons were growing up, an EMT for the City of Wapakoneta, and belonged to First United Methodist Church, Wapakoneta, and to a square dance club for many years with his wife. Jack is survived by his children Dr. Jack (Judy) Krebs of Franklin, Mike (Terri) Krebs of Archbold, and Peggy Brigner of Vandalia. He has six grandchildren Tracey (Jason) Smallwood, Steve (Amy) Krebs, David Krebs, Eric (Edie)Krebs, Craig Krebs and Jacy (Wendy)Margraves.

He has 5 great grandchildren. Jack is survived by his sister Jane Kramp of Cleveland, Marilyn’s brother Tom Parker of Philadelphia and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Sat.

Jan. 26, 2019, at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, 1102 Lincoln Ave. (St. Rt.

501) Wapakoneta, with Pastor Michael Westbay officiating. Burial is to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta. The family will receive family and friends from 10 a.m. until time of the service, Sat.
