Obituary for Jack “Rusty” Lunsford Jack “Rusty” Lunsford, 76, of Black Mountain passed away Thursday July 5, 2018. Mr. Lunsford was born January 18, 1942 in Buncombe County to the late Gordon and Ruth Cordell Lunsford. Rusty was a veteran of the US Navy.

He was a self-employed contractor, master mason, builder, and a craftsman. He never met a stranger and always had a smile and laugh that would light up a room. Rusty was past Master of the Black Mountain Masonic Lodge.

He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Leigh Lunsford. Rusty is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sandy Lindsay Lunsford; sons, Jamie Lunsford and Charlie Lunsford (Chloe); sister, Yvonne Reese; and grandchildren, Zachary, Lindsay, and Colton.

The family will receive friends Sunday, July 8, 2018 from 1:00 to 3:00pm at Mountain View Baptist Church. A graveside service will immediately follow the visitation in Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery. Order Flowers Jack “Rusty” Lunsford 1942 – 2018 Click above to light a memorial candle.
