Baltimore, MD – Jackie Lee Cox (Jack), 77, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 11, 2019 surrounded by loved ones. He leaves his wife of 54 years, Ellamay (Dimeler) Cox, his daughter, Dolores M. (Cox) Soucy, son-in-law Kenneth W. Soucy Jr. , Grandsons: Patrick F. Soucy married to Amanda L. (Carminati) Soucy, Kenneth W. Soucy III, Alexander J. Soucy and Great Grand-daughter Rylee M. Soucy. Jack was born in Honaker, Virginia to Walter Cox and Myrtle Alice (Hess) Cox in 1941.

He loved his siblings, Andrew Cox (decd), Virgina Sykes, Roger Cox, Lee Ann Lampkins, Peggy Sue Helbert, Garland Cox, Larry Cox, Georgia Boardwine and Donna Purcell and his many nieces and nephews. Jack served in the United States Army in Korea during the Vietnam war and was honorably discharged with several certificates including sharpshooter. As a young man, Jack moved to Baltimore, Maryland.

He earned his living as a construction worker for Carrolton Company. He took great pride in his work often pointing out all the buildings he helped construct throughout the Maryland area. He later worked and retired from Carr Lowrey Glass Company in Baltimore, Maryland.

Jack enjoyed the simple things in life which included playing golf, fishing, gardening, grilling and caring for his dogs. You could often times find him sitting on his patio with his devoted wife. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Jackie Lee Cox please visit our Sympathy Store.
