Jacob’s Obituary Jacob L. Loux Jr., age 81, of Harleysville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 7, 2019. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary E. (Mack) Loux, with whom he shared over 59 years of marriage. Born May 7, 1938 in Sellersville, he was a son of the late Jacob L. Loux Sr. and Edna (Landis) Loux.

Jake owned and operated We Care Cleaning Service until his retirement in 2004. Throughout his life his passion of sports was seen as he played softball, bowled on leagues, umpired, and watched any sports event on TV 24/7. He cheered loudly and never lost faith in his Philadelphia sports teams.

Later in life he found his love for golf, has several Hole-In-One Awards and he shared his love of golf with his grandson Frank. He was an avid hunter and his home showcased his many amazing trophies. Jake’s love for his family and friends was showered on all who knew him.

It was evident in his smile and the constant twinkle in his eye and no matter what was going on his own life he wanted to know how you were doing! ! His pride in his grandchildren overflowed as he attended countless sporting events and traveled to watch granddaughter Kelli in her gymnastic competitions.

He loved watching wildlife, beautiful sunsets, and sitting outside for a good thunderstorm. He also loved food and was always looking for a good meal with family! He is survived by his daughter Sandra Smith and her fiancé Matt Kaelin; grandchildren Frank Smith, Kelli Smith and Marybeth Kaelin; great granddaughter Charli Smith; brothers Harlan Loux and his wife Marilyn, Ronald Loux and his wife Bev.

Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and great granddog Gia. In addition to his wife, Mary, he was preceded in death by his son Richard Loux and his brother Robert Loux. Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Calvary Church, 820 Route 113, Souderton, PA 18964, where the family will greet guests from 9:00 – 10:45 AM.

Please use steeple entrance. Interment will be private. The bond between PopPop Jake and Great Granddaughter Charli was undeniable.

Charli gave him reason to be here and he cherished her.
