Obituary for Jacob Valdez Jacob A. Valdez, 91, of Cheyenne passed away July 27, 2018 in Cheyenne. He was born January 9, 1927 in Fort Collins, Colorado. Jacob was a carpenter for Reiman Construction.

He enjoyed making furniture, shooting pool, playing cards, and was known to always be at the ready with a joke to make people smile. Jacob is survived by his wife of 71 years, Alice; five children, Roberta Mock, Jacob T. (Mary) Valdez, Raymond (Joann) Valdez, Regina (Rudy) Lucero, and Annette (Wayne, Jr.) Wheeler; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; seven siblings; and a son-in-law, Ray Mock.

Vigil for the Deceased will be 6:00 p.m., Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Funeral Liturgy will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Interment will be Wednesday, 3:30 p.m. at Olivet Cemetery.
