Jacqueline Kay Renner, 80, of Hazleton, passed away early Thursday morning March 7, 2019 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Hazelton following a six month illness. Born in Los Angeles, CA, May 14, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Wilma (Rine) Purcell and spent the past 46 years in Hazleton, Pennsylvania after moving from Plainfield, NJ. Jacqueline was a Nurse’s Aide and a Woman’s Army Corps member.

She was a member of Hazleton Community Church, Hazle Twp. Jacqueline and her husband were volunteers with the Commission on Economic Opportunity, Hazleton. she enjoyed knitting, and was an animal lover who took care of foster animals.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband Robert Renner who passed away January 2, 2011 and step-father George Siegelman. Surviving are one daughter Tracy Childress and her husband Gary; Tunkhannock; brothers Donald Purcell and his wife Jean, Nappanee IN; Nathan Purcell and his wife Carolyn, St. Joseph, IL; and Gregory Siegelman and his wife Karen, Bowling Green KY; sister Susan Sommers and her husband Albert, Pinedale WY; grandson Allen Culp, II. , Tunkhannock.

Several nieces and nephews also survive. All services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory (East), 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums is assisting the family with the arrangements.
