Jacqueline entered into eternal rest peacefully in the hospital. Jacqueline was born on August 16, 1955 to the late Mr. Norman West, Sr. and Mrs. Ruth West in New York City.

Jacqueline was affectionately known as “Jackie”. Ms. Jackie, as all the kids called her, loved the friends of her children. She had an open-door policy in all her homes.

She would also take everyone out to eat or welcome them into her home to watch a television program and the New York Yankee game. Jackie worked as a counselor assistant in New York City. Jackie enjoyed having fun with her family and friends.

Jackie was educated in the New York City Public Schools System where she graduated from and later went on to attend business college in Manhattan. Jackie leaves to cherish her loving memories: two daughters, Regina West and Desirea Spikes; one son, Derrick West-Martin; one granddaughter, Araiah Bryelle Gillard; four brothers, Norman, Gerald, Terence and Kenneth West; one sister-in-law, Mary West; two uncles, Muhammad and Selim; one godson, Eugene McFarlan, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
