OBITUARY James A. Cullen Jr. June 26, 1932 – July 26, 2018 James A. Cullen, Jr., 86, of Sudbury, died July 26, 2018 after an extended illness. Born June 26, 1932, he was raised in Charlestown and Dorchester, later residing in Winchester and Sudbury. He was the beloved husband of Alice (Walsh); proud father of James A. Cullen, III and his wife Deborah of Billerica, MA, John G. Cullen and his wife Robin of Sudbury, MA, Katherine M. Hecht of Searsport, ME, Jean M. McGuire and her husband Wayne of Tolland, CT.

He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and son-in-law, Richard Blanchet of Lincoln, RI. He was predeceased by two daughters, Alice T. Cullen and Elizabeth A. Cullen-Blanchet; by his mother, Catherine (Doherty); by his father James A. Cullen, Sr., and by his step-mother, Theresa E. (Frazier) Cullen. James was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the United States Navy.

He was a 61-year member of the IBEW Local 103 Boston as a Journeyman Electrician and also served as a Business Agent. He was a member of the IBEW Local 103 Boston Retirees, VFW Post 8771 in Sudbury, and the DAV. He enjoyed woodworking, playing the guitar, and softball.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at St. Anselm Church, 100 Landham Road, Sudbury. Visitation will be held Monday, July 30th from 4-8PM at the Duckett-J.S. Waterman & Sons Home of Memorial Tribute, 656 Boston Post Road, Route 20, Sudbury. Interment with military honors will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, August 1st in Wildwood Cemetery, 34 Palmer Street, Winchester.
