Obituary for James Daniel “JD” McDonald ALBA – Funeral services for James Daniel “JD” McDonald, Jr., 88, of Tyler, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, November 25, 2018, at Lake Fork Baptist Church, Alba, with Bro. Lee Poe officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Alba, under direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
Mr. McDonald passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018, in Tyler. He was born Thursday, February 20, 1930, in Pioneer, Louisiana, to the late James Daniel Sr. and Mary Emma Cupples McDonald. JD was born and raised in Louisiana.
He moved to Dallas and worked as an Airplane Inspector at Aviall for 40 years and retired in 1995. He was a charter member of the Lake Fork Baptist Church, Alba. He is survived by son, Ricky McDonald and wife Ginger of Rockwall; daughters, Becky Poe and husband Lee of Flint, Susan McDonald of Dallas, and Cindy Baker and husband Randy of Rockwall; sisters, Irene Bible of Delhi, Louisiana and Pat Brown of North Richland Hills; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren with one on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings. Pallbearers will be Ricky McDonald, Randy Baker, Jason Thompson, Lee DeLeon, Cody Connell, and Marshall Harrell. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
