Mr. James Edward “Ed” Sims, age 76, of Snowden Drive, Boaz, Alabama died on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at the Collinsville Nursing Home. Funeral service will be held at Eleven o’clock a.m. on Monday, June 18, 2018 at McRae Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jim Kilpatrick and Bro.

Mickey Perigo officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday evening from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Sims was born in Alabama on July 3, 1941 to Henry David & Jessie Irene Stone Sims. He was a retired truck driver. Mr. Sims is survived by his Son & Daughter-in-Law: Eric & Rachael Sims of Boaz, Daughter & Fiance`: Tammy Brothers & Tommy Frederick of Boaz, Grandchildren: Crystal Brothers, Tasha Brothers, Hunter Sims, Brianna Sims and Haley Sparks, Great Grandchildren: Korbyn Pitts, Kayson Pitts, Alyssa Edwards, Kaislee Hendrix, Arya Sparks and Samiy’ah Sims, Brothers: Dale Sims of Kilpatrick and Bud Sims of Georgia, Sisters: Louise Greer of Sardis, Judy Woods of Southside, Shelby Bickerstaff of Boaz and Dora V. Clemons of Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Henry & Jessie Sims and Wife: Carolyn Sims. Pallbearers will be Teddy Sims, Darrell Sims, Shane Sims, Scotty Kilgo, Kevin Kilgo, David Sims, Jackie Carroll and Joseph Wilson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Korbyn Pitts, Kayson Pitts and Teighe Alexander.
