Williamsport- James Eugene “Jim”Snyder, 80 of Williamsport, MD passed away on Tuesday January 8, 2019 at his home. Born in Hagerstown, MD on November 3, 1938 to the late Eugene Richardson and Vada Ellen Eshelman Snyder. His wife Donna Mae Knight Snyder preceded him in death on April 28, 2010.

He owned and operated Snyder’s Pest Control with his wife for more than 40 years until his retirement. Jim graduated from Williamsport High School in 1956. He served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves.

Jim was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Conococheague Tribe #84 I.O.R.M. and Potomac Post 202 American Legion all in Williamsport, MD. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and spending time on the Chesapeake Bay.

He also enjoyed bicycling on the C&O Canal towpath, spending time with family, especially his grandkids. Jim is survived by a son Ralph E. “Randy” Snyder and his wife Staci of Smithsburg, MD, a granddaughter Kylie Snyder, grandsons Ryan and Brady Snyder all at home and a sister Lana J. Reed of Williamsport, MD. The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD 21795 on Monday January 14, 2019 from 6:00- 8:00pm.

The funeral home will be open on Monday at 9:00am for the convenience of family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave. Hagerstown, MD 21742 or Washington County Humane Society, 13011 Maugansville Road, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
