Mr. James Evans age 83 of Piedmont passed away Tuesday January 29th at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be 3 PM Wednesday January 30th at Hopewell Cemetery. Survivors include daughter, Vickie (David) Robinson of Piedmont; grandchildren, Jennifer ( Stephen) Parrish, Jonathan Jolly, Christopher Robinson and Troy Jolly; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sibble Evans; daughter, Donna Troy; brothers, Clyde, Frank, J.M., and Leonard Evans; sister, Melissa Evans. Mr. Evans was a native of Cherokee County and the son of the late Marlin and Susie Evans, a graduate of Cedar Bluff High School and was a State of Alabama Highway Department Employee.
