James F. Cannon, 74, of Phenix City, AL passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018 at his home. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Newsome Cemetery in Phenix City, AL with Tommy Harrison officiating. The family will receive friends Monday night, November 19, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL.

Mr. Cannon was born in Tallapoosa County, AL on November 22, 1943, son of the late Charlie L. Cannon and Minnie Fuller Cannon. He was the owner and operator of Valley Auto Sales for over 30 years. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Annie Ruth Cannon and Joyce Cannon and two brothers, Charles Cannon and Carl Cannon.

Mr. Cannon is survived by his loving wife, Diann Cannon of Phenix City, AL; daughters, Peggy Finney and Patti Binns; a son, Pat Cannon; grandchildren, Kelli Richardson, Kyler Cannon, Kayden Cannon, Gracie Binns and Gabby Cannon; great-grandchild, Rhett Richardson; several extended family and friends. The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to the charity or your choice in his honor. Online condolences may be shared at www.
