Obituary for James F. “Jim” Benham II James F. “Jim” Benham II, of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, entered Heaven’s gates on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the age of 50. He was born September 3, 1967 in Waukegan, Illinois to Clifford and Laura (Jessen) Benham. Jim graduated from Waukegan East High School with the class of 1985.

He furthered his education at Milwaukee School of Engineering where he graduated in 1989 with a Bachelor’s Degree. Jim met and later married the love of his life, Julie Marie Logue, on April 21, 1990 at the St. Bartholomew Church in Waukegan, IL. They shared more than 27 years of life and marriage together.

He was employed as an Engineer at Whitlock Packaging, now known as Refresco, where his work ethic and dedication were recognized as he became the Director of Engineering. He was known for his trouble shooting abilities and was very instrumental in successful product launches during his 21 year tenure. His hobbies included fishing, golfing, basketball, drums, cards, and all other sports.

His greatest passion was spending time with his family. He will always be remembered for the love of his family and his enthusiasm for life. Jim and his family attended Boulevard Christian Church where they were very active in the ministries of the church including the Life Groups.

Jim never met a stranger and was loved by many. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Laura Benham.

Jim is survived by his wife, Julie of the home; children, Ryan Benham of Waukegan, IL, Brooke Benham of Fayetteville, AR, Megan Benham, and MaryKate Benham, both of the home; siblings, John Riley (Judy) of Gurnee, IL, Elizabeth Haydock (John) of McHenry, IL, Robert Benham (RuthAnn) of Glendale, AZ, Steven Benham of Beaumont, CA, and Judy Strong (John) of Lindenhurst, IL; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. A memorial service celebrating Jim’s life will be 2PM, Monday, March 5, 2018 at Boulevard Christian Church with Minister Steve Moss officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Jim Benham to the LakeCountry FCA Camp Scholarship Fund, 3809 S. Boulevard, Edmond, OK, 73013.
