Obituary for Ladonna Rose Yandell Ladonna Rose Yandell, 85, of Muskogee, Oklahoma entered Heaven’s gates on Monday, May 21, 2018. She was born February 16, 1933 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Robert Howard Reece and Pearl (Caviness) Reece. Ladonna attended Fort Gibson Public Schools.

She met and later married her best friend, Leroy Ivan Yandell on April 9, 1950 at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Ft. Gibson. They had shared more than 67 years of life and marriage together when Leroy passed away on April 15, 2017.

Ladonna worked at Muskogee Regional Hospital for many years and retired in 1994. She previously worked for Teel Laundry, Santa Fe Meat Packing, and Swift Processing. Ladonna will always be remembered for her love for God, attending church functions, and being an active and faithful member.

She enjoyed going to garage sales on Saturday morning with her sister-in-law, Shirley Yandell, and she also enjoyed camping with her family. Most important was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and being a part of their lives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Pearl Reece; husband, Leroy Yandell; daughter, Debbie Thomas; sisters, Betty Reece Wilson and Peggy Reece Powell; and her daughter-in-law, Linda Carol Yandell.

Ladonna is survived by her daughter, Linda Russell; sons, Robert Yandell, Darrell Yandell and wife Tonya; grandchildren, Greg and Charla Jackson, Deanne and Charlie Randolph, Jr., Dalton Yandell, Derick Yandell, Kim Yandell, Heather and Shawn Clay, Leroy and Kathryn Parris, Cydney O’dell, Tiffany Battenfield, Matt and Misty Smith, Joe and Tammy Crossland; great-grandchildren, Paige, Payton, Austin, Charlie III, Sierra, Casey, Daniel, Jeremy, Alexis and Autumn, Taia, Tommy, and Kathryn, Michael, Heather, Brandon, Heather, Amaya, Colby, Olivia, Elliott, Krystalin, Andrew, and Makyla; sister, Phyllis Stretch and husband Ben; brother, Dan Reece and wife Blanche; along with other family members who will miss her greatly. Funeral service celebrating Ladonna’s life will be 12PM, Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Ben Stretch officiating. Interment will follow at 2PM at Fort Gibson National Cemetery with Kenneth Yandell, Jimmy Yandell, George Jr Yandell, Jerry Yandell, Billy Yandell, and David Yandell serving as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Parris, Jeremy Parris, Michael Parris, Tommy Parris, and Brandon O’Dell. The family would like to express a very special “Thank You” to all the healthcare personnel who cared for their Mom and Dad over the last years of their life.
