Obituary for Robert H. “Bob” Talley Jr. Robert Henry “Bob” Talley Jr., 80 of Oktaha, passed away early Saturday morning, May 12, 2018. He was born March 1, 1938 in Webbers Falls, Oklahoma to Robert H. and Leona Carmen (Poteete) Talley. He grew up and attended Warner Public Schools.

After finishing his education, Bob embarked on a career as a Meat Cutter. He worked with several local grocers, including Puckett’s, Weddle’s and Marvin’s. He belonged to the Meat Cutter’s Union and retired in 2000.

He then worked as a Security Guard for Muskogee Regional Hospital. Bob was a Master Gardener. He loved working outside and in his garden.

He sold produce at the Muskogee Farmer’s Market. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, growing gourds for bird houses and sharing his beautiful flowers and produce with family and friends. His family recalls his sense of humor and his smile.

He loved to help those in need. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harold Ray Talley and Foster Eugene Talley; sisters, Wanda Leona Morris and Maudie Mae Potts. Bob is survived by his son, Randy Lee Talley of Oktaha; sister, Mable Talley McBee and husband Raymond of Warner; sister-in-law, Lanette Talley of Collinsville; two granddaughters and one great grandson; numerous nieces, nephews, special neighbors and many friends.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Sam Dunn officiating. Private family interment will be in Warner Memorial Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of Cornerstone Funeral Home, 1830 N. York Street, Muskogee.
