James’ Obituary James H. Peiffer, 74, of Souderton, PA; formerly of Northeast Philadelphia went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, May 9th, 2019 at his residence. He was the loving husband of Barbara A. (Taylor) Peiffer for 53 years. Jim was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Frances H. and Barbara (Roeder) Peiffer.

A graduate of Northeast High School class of 1962, Jim graduated LaSalle College in 1966. Jim was employed as a Supervisor for City of Philadelphia Health Department for 39 years retiring in 2006. He enjoyed collecting antique telephones and was a member of ATCA (Antique Telephone Collectors Association) and Telephone Collectors International.

Jim also worked at Manheim Auto Auction, Hatfield. Jim was a faithful attendee of Keystone Fellowship, Stump Road Campus, serving as an usher, and volunteering in the church office. Devoted to his wife, children and grandchildren, the delight of his life was his grandchildren.

Collecting antique telephones was his passion. His daily routine was walking through Hidden Springs and assisting his neighbors. Jim enjoyed being the center of attention at the club house.

In addition to his wife, Barbara, he is survived by his two daughters, Suzanne Wissmann of Southampton, PA, and Kimberly A. Shafer and her husband Jeremy of Feasterville, PA. Eight grandchildren: Andrew, Amanda, Tyler, Jordan, Benjamin, Jonathan, Leo and Chewie; a brother, Frank (Lynette) Peiffer of Ottsville, PA and his sister-in-law, Peggy McManus. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, John Wissmann.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, May 15th, 2019 at 11:00 am at Keystone Fellowship, 427 Stump Road, North Wales, PA. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 11am prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to: Wolf Hirschhorn Syndrome, checks made out to (4p-Support Group) c/o Amanda Lortz, Executive Director, 1495 Forest Brooke Way, # 262.
