Obituary for James ‘Jim” A. Ditsch James A. “Jim” Ditsch, 60, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Friday morning, April 6, 2018, at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. Jim was born March 16, 1958, in Kittery, Maine, a son of the late Donald C. and Delores M. (Ellett) Ditsch. Jim met Judy K. Fleck in Torrington, Wyoming, while attending Eastern Wyoming Community College.

They dated for a period of time and were engaged to be married on April 10, 1979. On November 17, 1979, they married and lived in Torrington for a year until moving to Newcastle, Wyoming, in 1980 where they operated J & J Comfort Villa. In 1986 they moved to Cheyenne and in 1993 Jim began working for the Wyoming Highway Department where he ultimately served as a Utilities Officer.

Jim lived his life to the fullest and he faced life’s challenges with vigor, never considering himself as handicapped. His many interests included shooting guns, hunting, fishing and spending time with his wife and many friends. He will be remembered as a loving husband, brother and friend and will be missed dearly.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Judy K. Ditsch of Cheyenne; two brothers, Donald L. (Vicki) Ditsch of Las Vegas, NV and Brian L. (Gail) Ditsch of Jackson, SC; and sister, Kathleen M. (Yuram) Vaknin of Las Vegas, NV. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard C. Ditsch. A memory service will be celebrated on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.

A luncheon will follow at the Schrader Reception Center. Cremation is under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
