Obituary for James “Jim” B. Keightley Sr. Keightley Sr., James “Jim” B., of St. Louis, Missouri was born May 27, 1941, in St. Louis, Missouri, to John and Virginia (nee Braun) Keightley and entered into rest Monday, January 7, 2019, at Evelyn’s House in Creve Coeur, Missouri, at the age of 77 years, 7 months and 10 days. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jo (nee Black) Keightley and his parents. He is survived by, three (3) children, James “Jim” Keightley Jr., Virginia “Ginny” (Mike) Jeanmougin and Matthew (Becky) Keightley, three (3) grandchildren, Corinne Keightley, Nathan Jeanmougin and Evan Jeanmougin, three (3) siblings, J. Robert “Bob” (Sarah Yancey) Keightley, Nancy (Joe) Johnston and Ruth (Keith) Singer, and many other family and friends.
Jim loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed taking them to the cabin at his farm in Central Missouri. Jim was an avid outdoorsman who liked hunting and fishing at the farm.
He began his career at Keightley Brothers, Inc., a coal and trucking company and retired from Lange Stegmann Fertilizer after a successful career. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation Friday, January 11, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY, 10301 Big Bend Road, Kirkwood, Missouri 63122.
Service Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Southminster Presbyterian Church 10126 E. Watson Rd. Saint Louis, Missouri 63126 followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery. Family will greet family and friends at 9:00 a.m. prior to the service.
