OBITUARY James “Jim” C. Meyer March 31, 1937 – November 10, 2018 Dr. James “Jim” Cushing Meyer (Sir), 81, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Snow’s Cherry Street with the Rev. Baxter Hurley officiating.

The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 886 Mulberry St., Macon GA 31201. James was born in Shreveport, LA to the late Harry Raymond and Loraine Morse Meyer.

He served in the United States Army at the USAREUR Hospital, in Germany from 1962 to 1964. He was a graduate of Emory University and Emory Dental College. James was a member of the Central District Dental Society and the American Dental Association.

James was a Dentist in Macon, Atlanta and Warner Robins area for many years. He was of the Methodist faith. He is survived by his wife, Betty Holloway Meyer of Macon, sons; John (Jenny) Meyer of Macon, Scott (Lisa) Meyer of Eatonton, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
