Obituary for James “Jim” P. Gilroy James “Jim” P. Gilroy 67 of Louisville passed away September 18, 2018 at his residence. He was a native of Queens, NY, a graduate of St. John’s University, member of St. Margaret Mary, and retired Controller for UPS where he worked for 45 years having retired 18 days ago. He is preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Eleanor (Kennedy) Gilroy; sister, Mary Ellen DeLane; and brother, John Gilroy.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years Mary Gilroy; daughters, Teresa (boyfriend Tyler Gill), Julia, and Marie Gilroy; siblings, William Gilroy (Irene), Elayne O’Connell (John), and Kathleen Lynch (Jack); sister in law Patricia Gilroy; and many nieces and nephews A Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Friday September 21, 2018 at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Rd, at “St. Matthews”. A Funeral Mass will be held at a later date in NY. Expressions of Sympathy in lieu of flowers can be made to Kentucky Special Olympics or American Heart Association.
