James Paul Bailey III “Jimmy” August 4, 1964 – October 8, 2018 Born in Hampton, Virginia Resided in Front Royal, Virginia Jimmy is survived by his wife, Cynthia Bailey of Front Royal, VA; two daughters, Kelsey Jo Bailey and Cheyenne Marie Bailey, both of Front Royal, VA; two stepchildren, Jesse Atkinson and Brandy Atkinson, and granddaughter Skyler Stamper, all of Front Royal, VA; mother, Judith Sloan and husband Robert of Marshall, VA; father, James Paul Bailey II and wife Sharon of Smyrna, NC; two brothers, Patrick Bailey and wife Melissa of Fredericksburg, VA and Philip Bailey and wife Susan of Front Royal, VA; three step-brothers, Doug Sloan and wife Kayla of Warrenton, VA; Darren Sloan and Robert Sloan, both of Manassas, VA; step-sister Donna Givens and husband Dan of Manassas, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jimmy was employed as the Fleet/Apparatus Division Director for Fire and Emergency Medical Services for the Washington, DC Government. Jimmy was a volunteer EMT at age 16 with the OWL Fire Station in Woodbridge, VA.

He graduated from Woodbridge High School in 1982. At age 18 he became a volunteer firefighter at OWL and continued as a professional firefighter at Fort Belvoir, VA. In the years to follow, Jimmy operated tractor trailers and became a proficient heavy truck mechanic, specializing in transmissions repairs.

From a young age, Jimmy loved riding his motorcycles. This developed into a passion for Harleys – “He Lived to Ride”. Other hobbies included fishing, strumming his guitar and playing pool.

He was a fun loving guy who always had a story to tell and delighted in the idea of keeping you laughing. Jimmy was dependable, well liked and trusted by family members and a wealth of friends. His influence will forever remain in the lives of all that knew him.

A memorial service is planned for Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 11am at Moser Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Bright View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial Donations, PO Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148 Arrangements by Moser Funeral Home 233 Broadview Ave.
