James Kenneth Guffey, Sr., 73, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at his home. He was born on January 1, 1945 in Guilford County to the late R.J. Guffey and Elsie Crum Guffey and was the husband to Dixie Lee Guffey. Ken retired from Duke Energy and was a member of Gibsonville United Methodist Church.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed. Ken is survived by his wife and loving children, Jay Guffey (Laurie), Tammy Poling, Kim Jackson (Jeremiah)… Read More » and Jeff Guffey; stepchildren, John Stuckey (Melissa) and Tammy Saul (David); and twelve grandchildren. The memorial service will be held at 11:00am Friday, January 4, 2019 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Josh Dellinger.

The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the residence. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
