DORIS OZETTA ALSTON GRAHAM- Ms. Doris Ozetta Alston, 70, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Cone Health of Alamance Regional. A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of William Bloise Alston and Ethel Lee Alston, both deceased.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence Alston and William Alston, Jr. and a sister, Wilma Alston. Doris is survived by her daughter, Iola “ Jody” Alston Sykes (Russell) of Rolesville; one sister, Mary Dove (Larry) of Graham; one stepsister, Ollie Mae McCoy; three grandchildren Jaylin Jeffries, Nadia Sykes and Russell Sykes, IV and a host of other relatives and friends. Ms. Alston’s funeral will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 1::00 pm at Maxwell Chapel AME Church with Rev Tamara O. Kersey officiating.

Burial will follow at Farr Marr cemetery. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the funeral service and all other times at 5347 Lindley Mill Road, Graham, NC 27253. Ms. Alston’s public viewing will be held Friday, February 22, 2019 from 1-8:00pm at the funeral home.
