Joe Arthur Pinnix, 77, of 345 Lincoln Street, Burlington, NC, transitioned on Friday, February 8, 2019, at Cone Health- Alamance Regional Medical Center. Joe was born July 24, 1941, in Burlington, NC to Allen Pinnix Sr. and Beatrice Corbett Pinnix, both deceased. He was a graduate of Jordan Sellars High School and owner/operator of Joe A. Pinnix Grading and Contracting.

Joe was a long time member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ where he once served on the usher board. Survivors include: former wife Ernestine Pinnix, three children Patricia Pinnix, Joseph Pinnix , Yvonne Pinnix, three grandchildren Shannon Pinnix, Cierra Harris-Pinnix, Shadymon Pinnix, two great grandchildren Torrenity Richmond, Madison Pinnix and a longtime companion Kathleen Yarbor as well as a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. Joe is preceded in death by his three siblings Allen, Pinnix, James Pinnix and Virginia Pinnix Cobb.
