Mr. William “Red” Matthew Clark, Jr. September 08, 1941 – February 03, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card HILLSBOROUGH- Mr. William “Red” Matthew Clark, Jr., 77, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019, at 1:00 pm at Alamance Health Care Center. Born in Orange County, North Carolina, he was the son of the late William Matthew Clark, Sr. and the late Annie Belle Wright Clark, and the husband of Hazel Norman Clark, who survives. Red, as he was fondly called, leaves precious memories to his wife, Hazel Norman Clark of the home; seven daughters, Angela Teresa Clark (Kevin), Mary Clark, Mia Obie (Ricardo), all of Burlington, Wanda Whitaker (Apostle Trell) of Charlotte, Shannon Clark, April Clark and Shanell Carr (Shannon), all of Greensboro; three sons, William Clark of Burlington, Todd Clark (Sophie) of Mebane and Marcus Clark (Briana) of Greensboro; thirty grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Clark’s homegoing celebration will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at 1:00 pm at Gethsemane Christian Church with Pastor James Patrick and Apostle Trell Whitaker officiating and Rev. Leon Clark performing the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Clark Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. His public viewing will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019, from 1:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home. Alamance Funeral Service has the honor of serving the Clark Family.
