Narda Stadler Howard July 31, 1961 – March 28, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Mrs. Narda Burnette Strader Howard, age 57, transitioned from this life on Thursday, March 28, 2019. She was born July 31, 1961 to the late Carroll Eujean Strader of Danville and was educated in the Danville and Halifax County public school systems. She was last employed in the healthcare field in Danville.

Mrs. Howard was married to the late Steven Howard, and to this union, three children were born, Nicole, Edward and Avery Howard. She previously attended Mount Sinai Glorious Church of God, under the pastorate of Bishop Arthur Ray Linder. Her most current membership was with Disciples of Christ Church where she served faithfully in the inspiration choir.

She loved singing, and one of her favorite songs, was Glory, Glory, Hallelujah, Since I Laid My Burdens Down. Narda enjoyed making friends and endeavored to enjoy life to the fullest. When asked recently about her favorite football team, she replied, “The Dallas Cowboys, of course”.

She swore that is she was a Dallas Cowgirl, the team would be “A HOT MESS! ” One thing that was true of her is that she believed in telling things JUST like it is. In addition to her mother and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Nicole; her grandparents, Wilford and Mattie Motley of Danville; sister, Mattie S. Emmanuel of Washington DC; Bobby Rydell Strader of Ringgold, VA; and her foster mother and brother, Sammy and Mary Massie of Danville.

Mrs. Howard is survived by her two sons, Edward and Avery of Chicago, Illinois; three brothers, Donald Ray and Herman Strader of Danville, and Rodney Strader of Seattle, Washington; one sister, Brenda S. Fitzgerald of Yanceyville, NC; aunt, Artelia “Tee Tee” Canada of Danville; two sister-friends, Mary Womack and Darlene King of Danville, and loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.
