Mother Emma Rea Street, passed away March 4, 2019 at the Hospice Home of Alamance Caswell. She was born the daughter of Samuel Taylor Street and Maggie Lou Carver Street, both deceased, in Person County, North Carolina. Mother Street was a devoted and dedicated member of New Covenant United Holy Church.

She served as Church Mother, Church Secretary, with the Ushers Ministry, assisted with the Missionary Circle, and the YPHA. Survivors include: two daughters: Angelia Murdock and E. Annette McIlwain (Bryan); 4 grandchildren: Terrance Street, Freda Shaw, Sherita Street Bullard and Nikki Murdock; 10 great-grandchildren; three siblings: Elijah “Lee” Street (Carlethia), Evangelist Carrie Barnes (Alphonso) and Sylvia Rogers. She was preceded in death by a son, Jonathan “Clark” Street and three siblings: John “Butch” Street, Geneva Burroughs and Curley Mae Street.
