He was born, December 24, 1926 in Guilford County to the late Sally Young Mingo and the late Joe Young. He was raised by his step-father, Bishop Kisler Mingo.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Eartha Carleen Young. He was the Bishop of Mount Calvary Church of God, Inc. Left to cherish loving memories are: his wife, Eula Mae Young of the home; six daughters; Diana (Hector) McCollum of High Point, NC, Celeste(Robert) Young, Deborah(Roger)Clinard, Lorrie Williams, Katherine “Chi” Young, KathleenRenea Young all of Greensboro, NC; one son, Charles (Connie) Jenkins of Baltimore, MD; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren; one sister, Gladys Jones. Bishop Young’s funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Mt.

Calvary Church of God Inc. at 11:30am with Rev. Jerry Pratt officiating. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the funeral service and all other times at the home.

Bishop Young’s public viewing will be held on Friday, March 1, 2019 at Hargett Funeral Home. Alamance Funeral Service of Burlington has the honor of serving the Young Family. Online condolences may be made at alamancefuneralservice.org.
