Mrs. Jean Virginia Watlington Rogers was born on March 22, 1922 in Caswell County to the late John Watlington, Sr. and Nannie Totten Watlington. She departed this earthly walk of life on May 17, 2019 at Alamance Healthcare Center. She was a member of First Baptist Church-Graham where she served as the Mother of the Church.

When she was able to work, she was a Custodian with the Alamance-Burlington School System. She lived a fruitful life of 97 years, to God be the glory. She is remembered with love by her children: Thurman Rogers (Mary), Moses Rogers, John Rogers (Shirley), Daniel Rogers, Carrie Jeannette Warren, Anna Warren, Louise Swann and Jeannie Rogers; a sister: Margie Penny; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews other relatives and friends.
